Clean Writing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked BIC Velocity lead pencils. The colorful variety that comes in a package was a hit with my children because they were able to use their favorite colors. They enjoyed the ease of use the pencils and not having to press down to hard to write a clear readable line. They also liked how easy it was to erase any mistakes, and how the eraser didn't leave a smudge. The lead pencils are really great!

Pencil Writings Finest

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think these pencils are what kids need. They glide smoothly and the lead doesn't break often. My son says he is able to erase without tearing the paper. We actually bought 10 more packs to give to his school.

smooth as butter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do a lot of writing for work purposes. I have used the regular #2 pencils and I have used mechanical pencils. Both have their disadvantages. Pencils have a habit of breaking at the most inopportune times. The Bic velocity pencil was different. First thing I noticed was the comfort grip. When you write as much as I do and you have carpal tunnel, comfort is everything and this pencil has it. Secondly, it writes as smooth as butter. Other pencils have a jagged, almost skip like when writing. Not this pencil. Mistakes are cleaned easily, leaving no messy residue or pencil smudging. I suppose parents would say these were good for kids but I think they are perfect for adults as well. I work in a public bus yard, I have to write down the bus locations for over 200 buses. This in itself can be a tedious job, then I have to write out the bus assignments. Previously, my hand would get tired but with these pencils, I find myself not needing to stop as often. Definitely a plus for someone with a tiresome hand.

Perfect for school

I love watching my kids doodle and doodle until their pencil is completely out of lead. More then ever, they stop whatever productive activity they are doing because once their lead breaks, they don't want to read sharpen. Now I've watched them sit for hours and doodle draw and write. I couldn't be happier, and neither can they!

Great Pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this pencil! It is a solid pencil...when you put pressure on it, it takes quite a bit to make the lead break. The feel of it in your hand is very ergonomic and the smooth dark marks that the lead leave are very high quality. The only problem is that they are a bit on the expensive side.

Smooth Sailing

I love they way they feel when you hold them to write. They fell solid and the rubber grip is comfortable. As a teacher, I use pencils throughout the day and this one takes the cake!!!! If you want a smooth writing mechanical pencil that can stand up to massive amounts of writing, then this is the pencil for you!

No Squeaky Noise!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before I tried these pencils I considered myself "not a mechanical pencil person". I was introduced to mechanical pencils in the second grade, and the concept seemed great. No sharpening, where could you go wrong? That was until I tried it. The mechanical pencils that plagued me all throughout my schooling were awful. They were weak; the lead was thin and would break constantly when I'd try to write. The squeaking made it worse! Even if I wasn't using a mechanical pencil, I could not escape the screeching noise they made on paper. These pencils are different. They are thick and strong. They do not break when I try to use them. The lead is dark and easily visible. And best of all, they don't squeak. I wish that I had them as a kid! I want everyone to discover these pencils. I am sure they would find that these pencils work better than any mechanical pencil they have tried in the past, and it will save our ears from all the pain! If I were going to buy mechanical pencils, I would not settle for anything less than these!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the BIC® Velocity® Mechanical Pencils! Thank you for sending me 2 packages because I have 3 kids in school and this really helped them out tremendously. They love how easy the pencils are to use and they don't have to keep getting up to sharpen pencils. The lead is nice, flows across the page and doesn't smudge or smear. Eraser on top does a good job removing all trace of pencil, you can barely see anything was there. I also love the fact it comes with extra lead and erasers. Great job BIC!
