Velocity for the writing win

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are seriously some of the best pencils I have ever used! In the words of my daughter, "They rock!" I received the BIC Velocity mechanical pencils for free because I'm a Bzz agent & I have to say if you are looking for the best pencils for back to school, then look no further! Hand writing is important, so is finding the right pencil to encourage the flowing of your child's hand when they are on a writing roll! The BIC Velocity mechanical pencil offers the ergonomic shape that fits into both child and adult's hands alike! The pencils feel great to write with; seriously, you know when you find that particular pen that writes really well and your handwriting becomes neater just because of the way the pen flows, well these are the pencil versions! As a bonus, they come in lots of fun colors too (perfect for every kid & adults like me that love bright colors)!
I would highly recommend these mechanical pencils to everyone!

BIC Velocity is a HIT with my 4 kids!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 5 kids and 4 of them are in school, so there are a lot of pencils floating around my house. All 4 of them (ages 8, 10, 12 , 16) liked the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils when they first used them at home. I asked them to try them out at school an come back and report to me how they held up over the school day. It was unanimous! All 4 kids liked these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils so much that they asked me to purchase more for the school year. Here's what they all agreed on: they were comfortable to use all day long, erased well, drew smoothly, the eraser stayed clean (bonus), the eraser didn't wear down quickly after a few uses, and they liked the bright colors. My 8 year-old son thought it was cool that it looked like a pen. My 12 year-old daughter said that she liked that the lead inside the pencil was easy to see through the pencil cylinder, making it easy to know when she will need to refill in the future. My 16 year-old will often get calluses and she said that the BIC Velocity didn't bother her fingers at all during a day's use (That was a relief to her!). The only complaint came from my 10 year-old daughter as she said that she lost the clear eraser cap after the first time she used it as it rolled off her desk. That wasn't a deal breaker for her though. All kids have seen the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils at their school as other students have been using them too! Must be a hit with everyone! Below is a photo of my 12 year-old. She is ALWAYS using the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils!

We had a few issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] School just started for us, so I eagerly broke open the pack to fill up pencil cases for the kids. Boy was I disappointed when two were not working right out of the pack! These came with blue, orange, yellow, pink and purple colors. My son really wanted the blue and orange and, sure enough, they were the broken ones. Luckily there was no issue with the other pack of 5. The ones that did work were great. However, if I had paid for a pack of five and only gotten three that were useable, I would have been extremely unhappy. Hence, the three stars. I've included a photo. It's kind of hard to see, but on the blue one the retracting tip doesn't stay out once clicked. Only the lead comes out so its not stabilized and will break off when you write with it. The pink one is how it should look. They do write nicely, are comfortable in hand and I love the extra lead that's included!

Great pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually don't buy mechanical pencils but I received these from bzzagents free for my review. These pencils are easy to use and very comfortable to hold as well. They wrote smooth and don't break off too fast. Overall a great product and I recommend this product to everyone.

Nice comfy pencil

They have handed a few out too their friends at school who appreciate not having to constantly sharper pencils. My daughter swears the pink one writes best. Smooth pencil that is a joy to write with.
