Every year I go to staples at the beginning of the school year to purchase these composition notebooks. They reason why is because of the quality and price of these books. Not only are the used by my grand daughter but also by myself. I conduct study groups to prepare people for up and coming promotional exams. It annoys me to see people come unprepared without anything to write with so I make sure that I purchase large quantities of the composition notebooks. My study group are so happy to receive these books.

Treats for the notebook freaks of which I am one. Your classic little any-age student comp book in four colors. You can buy all four colors. You can color code for subject! Or you can just enjoy having a choice of color from which to choose when you buy. You can -- for as long as Staples has these on special sale -- stock up. Good for the student. Good for the writer--especially one following Natalie Goldberg's free-writing instructions. Good for the artist who doesn't care if there are lines on the page. Good for casual scrapbooking when you've used up all the pages of your blank-page journal. (Casual scrapbooking: keeping pictures you like and have torn out of magazines for example.) I have four and am valiantly fighting the urge to go back for more.

For the first time I ordered products and had them shipped to the store. It took less time to get the items. This was great for me because I needed them quickly. It also saved on the shipping. I will order this way again.

flimsy covers

Great price on this composition notebook so I was suspicious of the quality. Alas the quality is NOT what it used to be. The covers are WAY less sturdy than in previous years rather flimsy in fact. The covers may not stand up to the hard use that we put them through. I'll think twice before I buy this item again.

A classic!

You can't beat this composition book. The uses are inumerable. With stitched binding it is as sturdy and well made as it ever was. I have seen books of this type that were well over half a century old and they still preserved the writing inside. They also fit nicely on a shelf.

My two teenagers needed four notebooks each. I'm happy to have found this great buy. The notebooks are perfect fit of price and function. The color selection is a bonus.
