A composition notebook is usually just a composition notebook. I sometimes use a fountain pen and the quality of the paper in this style of notebook is often too poor to be able to do so (when the paper is too absorbent the ink bleeds through to the other side of the page). The Tru Red paper works fine with fountain pen ink. I am pleasantly surprised. Hurray!
