Easy to open once you know how. Push up the latch and then pull it toward you.

This is exactly what I was looking for an easy/effective way to store important files and papers. It’s compact and easy to carry and/or store in my home.

These are well made and sturdy file boxes. They stack nicely and hold a fair amount of weight.

Lift up lock very flimsy. Pops off very easily. Difficult to put back in the holes. The box will serve its purpose.

Make a good file box. Lid latch could be attached a little more firmly

The latch to keep the lid closed is flimsy at best unless you use a lock to keep it secure. As I do not need this to be locked and constantly messing with a lock each time I want to access my files it is not what I was looking for. I will be returning this product and looking for one with a better latch.
