The latch is very poor but still going to use it for what I need it for.

lightweight translucent use it for many things besides files. Who has files anymore?

This tote is very flimsy and the latch doesn't snap in place either. i recommend spending the extra money for a sturdier file tote that latches properly.

This is an inexpensive storage box approximately 9 inches deep that enables storage of letter size paper that can be in a manilla folder according folder or hanging folder. I would have liked one that was 12 inches. The clip that keeps the box closed fell off my old box and was thrown out before we realized what it was so be careful not to throw out a dark piece of plastic if you find one on the floor.
