Great clip, didn't like white tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The actual clear light clips for hanging Christmas tree lights outside are great and I've found different uses indoors for them. I hung one at the bottom of a wall to hold a power cord in place. I have another one attached to my TV holding a cord in place making my entertainment center less messy. With these projects however, I did NOT use the tape that was included. The tape included is white and I needed clear tape, which I was able to get at a home improvement store, since it does not need to be in extreme temperatures.
I'm hesitant to hang the clips outside first because I have colored trim and the white tape will stand out and look funny. Second, because the package says not to put the tape on rough surfaces, like brick, cement board or rough sawn wood. If I don't put the tape on the trim, it would be on the rough clapboard and I'm not sure I want that.
So I'm sticking with indoor uses for now!

Makes hanging Christmas lights a snap!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A couple of years ago before 3M offered the Command Light Clips, I purchased just the regular clips and mounted them around the front door to hand Christmas lights. Well, two holidays later, and they are still hanging on! This is surviving the harsh Western New York winter weather! Plus they make hanging Christmas lights a snap! I leave them up all year round, and they are barely noticeable. I also received a free sample from 3M of the Light Clips, and they work as great as the original.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good For More Than Just Christmas Lights

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When 3M asked me to try these out it was the holiday season and I was excited to try these instead of the clips I normally use. But, I didn't receive these until February. And since I needed to review them, I needed to find something to use them for. What did I find? Power cords! I have a mess behind the entertainment center of cords and cables that have somehow resisted other attempts to organize them. I have hung up 4 so far, following the directions of cleaning with alcohol and pressing and waiting. So far only one didn't want to stay up, so I have have had a 75% success rating. Since I had one fall I am reluctant to remove and replace cords often, like when I unplug and re-plug something in, but it seems to hold things in place pretty well. So if have some left over after the holidays and have some cords getting in your way, these are a great way to clear up the clutter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just recently, we had an opportunity to try out the Command Outdoor Light Clips. They seem to be well-made and capable of supporting strings of electric lights, such as the accent light strings that we use. One of the best aspects of these is the fact that their removal leaves no damage to the mounting surface. Also, they are re-usable, since you can simply purchase refills of new adhesive strips. The 3M company provided me a free sample of this product to evaluate.

Great Solution for Outside Lights

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mounted these on the painted area above our front door. They held really well in all temps (we've had a crazy range this winter from -5F to 60F). Spacing was somewhat close as I was fitting a curve, but like the idea that they hold on to the cord even when hanging vertical. 3M sent these to me to try out - I did not purchase them, but I will be purchasing more for the holidays later in the year.
