Command outdoor light clips LOVE THEM

I bought these to put lights up outside.Since we recently moved into our new home a few months ago and are now able to decorate with lights outside. They are great but from reading some of the reviews I wonder if some of these people didn't read the directions. Clean area with rubbing alcohol, attach the clips, one every TWO feet, and WAIT ONE HOUR before attaching lights. I followed the instructions to the letter and have not had any problems at all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Held during a 7.0 magnitude earthquake

This stained glass puffin has been hanging on our porch window for about a year with a command hook. Nov 30, 2018, we had a 7.0 magnitude earthquake. The command hook held like a champ!

Clear clips with white tape???

I have just purchased some clear clips expecting the the 'gum/sticky part' to be clear too but no it is a white. When purchasing you cannot tell this due to the backing. What is the point of buying clear hooks to be invisible if the they end up looking white anyway - confused !

Very pleased

I was looking for clips to hang lights from metal on the edge of our roof. I noticed a lot of very poor reviews for these clips but couldn’t find any other affords options. I went ahead and gave them a try anyway. I followed all the instructions exactly. I’m happy to say the clips have held up wonderfully. Put them up in August of 2022 and the lights are still in place December 2023. We get very cold winters and hot summers in northern Manitoba and every clip has stayed in place. Very happy with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] condo association says no hooks on building. Bah humbug. I use the light clips on my porch windows, I can hang my lights and they can hang it also.

Works great

My neighbor was going to hire someone to put up there holiday lights. I told them about the command strip outdoor light hooks, and said I thought we could do this without hiring some pros. We entourage out and made the purchase and about an hour or so later we put up the hooks with ease and completed a very nice lighting display using only the outdoor hooks. They just worked splendidly.

Love them with a caveat....

Used these to hang barrio-style lights from the ceiling of my fascia-covered deck. They held the lights really well on the straight sections. However, when turning corners, the hooks didn't hold. I had to add cup hooks to the corners to ensure that the Command hooks would receive less tension on the corners. My feeling was that they work well unless being strained in any way. Nevertheless, I do think they are great problem solvers for outdoor decorating.

Huge Disappointment!

I bought 3 packs of these to put up my icicle Christmas lights and they were a huge disappointment! I followed the recommendations and was careful to wipe down the surfaces before placing the strips and holders on the house, but in different areas the adhesives were just not sticking. It was very frustrating to get the lights up and in place only to come out and find sections of them had fallen! I even tried using two adhesives to each holder and that didn't work either. I was trying not to put nails into the eves of the house, but ended up having to do just that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
