Didn't Work

Used the outdoor clips to attach string lights to our patio. Came home to find the lights shattered on the ground. We added more hooks but the lights still fell. We are now out the cost of the hooks and 4 boxes of lights.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works great in the pool area

Quite a few months back (January) I visited my sister in Florida. Told her about these because she wanted lights hung up in the pool area. Drove around to specifically find the correct ones for outdoors. We hung her lights and they are still hanging without a problem. Even with the heat & humidity that they get in Sebring, they are staying strongly attached.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can't tolerate the heat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was thrilled when these clips held up strings of lights on our new Duralum patio cover. We used 2 packages and placed them every 6 inches to avoid sagging. But days later I went outside and found 4 out of 6 strands of lights shattered on the ground. I'm guessing the heat was too much for the adhesive. That was a very expensive lesson.

Disappointed

I bought a few packs of these strips so I could hang some lights around the edge of my mothers patio. The lights were just your standard small bulb lights, nothing heavy at all. I spaced them about 1 per every foot then hung the lights. About 2 days later all the clips wouldn't stick anymore and the lights were on the ground. It is the middle of summer but the package says up to 125 F so I'm not sure what the issue was. Oh and I made sure to clean and dry the surface of the metal patio cover before I hung the lights. Disappointed.

Horrible - they don't stuck and hold.

I bought these to string christmas lights in my kids rooms (indoor on smooth, clean painted wallls). I followed instructions, cleaned the wall, dried the area, held fir 30 seconds and within 5 minutes several clips had simply fallen off the walls. Over the next few days even more fell off. Two weeks later and not even half are still attached.
Very dissapointed in this product. Other command hooks and strip have held up amazingly well and I love the product. But this one, totally fails. Not sure what's different about the clear sticky tabs vs the white ones, but I will never again splurge for the clear ones that were more expensive.

Save your Money, Do NOT buy!

These strips do not work outside. I followed all the instructions to the T and they constantly fell. Sometimes they would fall before I could even hang anything. I was using it on a painted wooden door, so it should have worked. Don't make the same mistake I made, save your money!

Choose Your Surface Carefully

I bought two sets of these for outdoor lighting on my patio. The set stuck to my painted metal railing work great--no complaints.
The set stuck to painted wood? Absolutely nightmarish. This is the third day I've had to replace strips as they keep falling off--and they're holding the lightest set of lights! I'm almost to the point of tearing them all down and going with finishing nails--which completely invalidates the entire point of buying these. Please keep that in mind if you use this product.
