Love the Concept!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't been able to use the Damage-Free Command Outdoor Light Clips yet. That they both do not show and do not damage the surface they are placed on sounds great.

Clips adhesive strips do not work

I bought the large pack of clips, but I could not use many of them because the paper backing does not release, it is stuck to the adhesive, can't peel off. The clips are for outdoor use, perhaps with different adhesive? My use is indoors, so I used the adhesive strips from other Command hooks I had, but that leaves me short of strips. I also bought a bunch of trays called Caddys, smaller and larger sizes. They come with very thin clear strips that promptly fell off the places I mounted them. So I again used normal strips from other hooks and that works. But now I'm short a bunch of strips to mount my regular hooks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It All Comes Falling Down

I bought a set of these on sale from Target for the holidays. Instead of using them outside, I used them inside on my regular walls. I cleaned the surface and then stuck the hooks on and waited a bit before trying to hang up the lights. I noticed when adhering the strips to the walls that some were stickier than others. As I was admiring the lights, some of the hooks with the less sticky adhesives came off the wall taking the lights down with it. My friends and family who were also looking up got hit with the lights.
I have used other 3M Command strip products before and would recommend those to friends, but I would not for this particular product. Comparing the stickiness of the wall adhesive side to previous products I have used, it seemed old as if it had lost its stickiness. I was able to easily remove some hooks from the wall without even having to pull the tab, too.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Be careful what you use to hang String Lights

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our college-age kids used command strips and loved them so after researching whether we could use them to hang lightweight string lights in a new room, we bought these. Unfortunately, the command strips came off and peeled off a spot of the new paint when the string lights fell down. We used four clips per string of mini-lights. What a disappointment! I would NOT recommend these clips to hang string lights (mini-lights).

Outdoor Clips

Love/hate

Bought these last weekend and i love the clip. However the clear strips are terrible. They keep coming off all surfaces they have been put on and they are indoor. I cannot imagine how they would be outdoor. Ended up using thicker 3m command strips to get them to stick.

Not a fan of the Outdoor clips

To be fair, I love the indoor Command hangers. I moved to a new house and was looking for a way to hang Christmas lights. One window especially as it is covered all round by Aluminum flashing. Tried the outdoor light clips, followed the package directions. Some clips didn’t even stick right away, others stuck fine, waited the hour, most stuck while hanging the lights, a few came off. Next day we had a rain storm with wind, a few came off but on the window, all just pulled off. Very disappointing.

Lights fell within a day
