outdoor light clips

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these free from 3M as a test product. I honestly LOVE these! We put up rope lights around our deck and got a head start on Christmas lights on our front porch! They hold really well!
I would recommend this to a friend!

So Dissapointed

I bought 3 packs of these yesterday. I went through the first pack last night. I ended up having to throw away over half of the strips because they wouldnt stick. These are too expensive to need to toss that many.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy & fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this product for free from 3M in exchange for my honest review. This product works really good! They're easy to use, I love that they look clean and I can fit serveral cords in one. The best part is there's no damage when removing!

Does NOT stick to painted wood surface

Purchased these from Target for outdoor Christmas lights. I followed the directions, wiping and drying the surface and then holding the clip for 30 seconds. As I put up the second clip though the first would fall right off. I tried several of the clips, but most fell off before the 1 hour "curing" time. This was for Christmas lights around my roof line, on painted wood. I guess these just don't work there. I've used indoor Command products with success, these outdoor ones just aren't working though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awful! All the instructions and the hooks fell AS WE WERE HANGING THE LIGHTS!!!!! Busted lights and all!!!! So angry!!!

Don't stay up for long

Overall I think Command products are great, especially the indoor hooks. I spent several hours sticking up these light hooks on a smooth, painted metal porch ceiling. At first I was very happy until one-by-one the strands came down over the course of a few days. Tried it again with double the number of clips. Same thing happened. Very disappointed. Wasted A LOT OF TIME

Waste of money!

Don’t bother with these. I followed the directions - wiped down with alcohol, held for 30 seconds and waited several hours before attempting to hang my lights. As soon as I got the strand connected to one of the clips it immediately fell off the porch shattering my lights for the SECOND time. That’s right, I’ve wasted money on two boxes of lights now - both resulting in shattered bulbs because these clips don’t hold up. Don’t be like me and give it a chance, let alone two.

Don’t buy!

I was excited to see these and make my process of hanging string lights so easy! I followed box instructions but every time after it rains the tape completely comes off with my lights still attached. I’ve even given them multiple tries. Save your time and don’t buy and just hang hooks.
