very flimsy construction. once we started putting files into the drawers they started coming off the tracks. can't really put much into it. would not recommend it

This file cabinet is not sturdy at all. If a person needs a heavy duty cabinet I would tell them to look further. I would not recommend this one.

arrived with dent in one drawer ... no big deal ... if I put more than 3-4 file folders in one drawer the drawer was almost impossible to open. Very very light weight ... not at all useful for me to keep files in ... returned it

I have the 2 drawer too. Not as well made & heavy as my (Office Designs brand from Quill) from '12. They have better drawer slides (metal vs plastic) & the metal is much heavier. I haven't had trouble with them even when fully loaded in 5+ years. The 1st was shipped upside down. The 2nd had the same problems even not shipped upside down. Drawers go off track & is VERY difficult to get back on track. You can't do it unless the drawer is emptied. When you try to shut it again after correction and then open it just keeps doing it again. The drawers twist & warp in your hand when trying to correct it as if trying to fall apart. You can not open the drawers below it or you will ruin it. You also get scratches on the front where the drawer falls out of track down on the other drawer. We tried anchoring it to the wall as requested. did not fix the problem at all. I think it's poor quality flimsy metal & design. The model in 2 drawers does work okay. The drawers function empty & half full & some times they will shut when full...but then...when opening they will fall off track...you will put it back& struggle to do so...& then an endless cycle of unacceptable drawer failure and stuck drawers. Anyone who doesn't end up immediately having this issue...it's likely because they haven't gotten the upper 2-3 drawers at least half full or tried to open and shut them them after filling them. I can't imagine this cabinet lasting 7 years or anyone getting normal use out of the top 2-3 drawers (bottom one on both seemed to work).

Looks better than I thought. Not so industrial but can be placed in most rooms in your home. I’m glad I chose it. I will suggest it to anyone that needs a file cabinet.
