I would describe these as "bold" rather than "ultra fine" tip. I prefer the Pilot Precise V5 (Ultra Fine) but they were out of stock.

Hi I needed ultra fine Sharpies to address glossy postcards. My local Staples was out of Sharpies so I bought the Tru Reds. The tip is very soft and sort of wiggles around while I'm writing which makes the line thicker than I wanted. Also the cap is tough to remove. Thanks anyway Staples.

I am military and we have to create overlays using acetate and these markers give some of the darkest lines with little issues of fading drying out or bleeding. Of course if you are using a marker and you leave a too large of a dot that is wet it will smear but usually these markers dry off very quick and smudge very little.
