Not worth it, they don't work as described

I purchased these to hang up two pictures that are probably about 6 lb. They did not hold at all for even a few minutes or stick while taking the strips off all but too came off fine. The other two pulled the paint off my walls and I remove them slowly just like it describes. I am not happy with them at all. Do not recommend them.

I purchased these to hang my 12 lb white board. After following all the instructions and going so far to put 4 straps on, the whiteboard still fell 24 hrs later. The command straps took Paint with them. I'm very upset as a renter in how expensive these were for them to fail pretty immediately.

Unexpected failure

I bought 3M command products many times. My last application, I used 9 pairs (16 pound, 7.2 kg) to hang an 8 pound speaker. For months it holds firmly. So I repeated this same configuration for the other 8 pound speaker to free up counter space. Within three days, so unexpectedly, the speaker fail and hit the floor without anyone touching or bumping the speaker. How can I expect a 20 pound 3M command product spread over 4 pairs times 2 to hold if 16 pound 4 pair times 2 per speaker causes unexpected hold conditions. When can I expect the 8 pound speaker to fall again?

Horrible product

Horrible! I used these to hang Christmas lights and paper decorations and when I tried to remove them per directions they took drywall and paint off!

There to stay.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used these strips to hang a larger, framed & matted, piece of artwork on loan to us in my department. We weren't allowed to hammer nails into the walls (rented facility) so needed another way. I used 8 pair (overkill, but that's me), 2 on each corner following the lines of the frame. Once we put it on the wall, the only time it came down was when the artist asked for it back. It was perfect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not for Me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried to use the 20 lb. Picture Hanging Strips but the process did not work for me. It was hard to make the strips on the wall line up with the strips on the frame. I think it takes too long to measure, apply and wait. I could hammer a picture hook in the wall & be done. I know I’ll have a small hole in the wall but I would rather fix the hole than go through the steps of using hanging strips.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked BETTER than Advertised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Command 20lb picture Hanging Strips worked BETTER than advertised! Just pull apart to reposition your picture slightly. Press the strips back together and it stays in place. Very easy to remove. Just pull picture away and remove strip from wall.

Painless Hanging of Heavy Pictures

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From time to time we all have slightly heavy photos that we want to hang. As is common with 3M Command users, we don't want to damage our walls when hanging these items. With some of the 3M Command products we have a recommended limitation on weight which discourages us from using this method of damage-free hanging.
The Command 20 lb Picture Hanging Strips help with that issue. They are rated to hold up to 20 lbs and have the expected ease of use and damage-free functionality of other Command products.
I particularly like how the instructions for use are simple and each to follow. In addition these strips provide me with the security that makes me feel comfortable using them to hang my heavier photos.
As with the other Command products these strips provide excellent value, are of high quality and I would recommend them to anyone seeking damage-free hanging of heavier photos.
I would recommend this to a friend!
