I use these folders to sort documents within a hanging folder. For example I have a hanging folder marked "Correspondence - family". I place manila folders labeled with the name of each family member into this hanging folder for storing letters from that particular person.

I often end up with multiple folders with the same label. These folders are cheap enough to just toss the duplicates & not worry about re-labeling.
