Sure Feed doesn't work

I've been using #8471 business cards for years now, with decent results in my HP printers. Just ordered and received a box of 1000 with new "Sure Feed Technology," a blue strip at the tops and bottoms of the front side, meaning no more paper jams. Well, I just wasted at least 10 sheets because of paper jams. Had to practically disassemble my printer to get them out! Such a frustrating morning. I have to print more cards, but I am not looking forward to it. Plus, the new cards separate too easily inside the printer, also causing problems. Please go back to the old-style cards. The previous pack just had rough-feeling tops and bottoms that seemed to do the trick of not jamming.

Worthless product!

Could not figure out how to get my own design to print. Instructions for doing so were convoluted and confusing. I will return the Avery product and buy another brand.

must be my printer cause no matter what i do it will only print 8 per sheet, which ruins the whole sheet. was helped by CS in "word", changes saved, print...8. completely fed up

We're sorry to hear that! As an alternative we would recommend one of our Clean Edge business cards so that you can avoid the textured edges of a perforated card. Our Clean Edge cards will have a smooth cut at the edges. For example, product 8871 would be a good start for another card with the same dimensions and color as this one.

The template I downloaded for use with Word onto my laptop was the most wasteful thing of time, effort, and ink I have seen in over 25 years of using Word and printing documents for my home office. Definitely not WYSIWYG - centered graphics were shifted significantly to the left during printing, and backgrounds shifted off the card as well. I wasted 4 sheets out of 10 trying to print one sheet of business cards, gave up and tossed the rest to avoid further frustration. I need only a handful of cards for a new venture, so I'll find another vendor.
Cons: Template is impossible to work with

Beyond Frustrating

Tried everything under the sun to get the bottom half of the page to line up correctly, using Avery templates and everything, and no go. I am ending my night after using 3 full sheets, which should have produced 30 cards, and I only have 6 cards that I can actually use. Pathetic.
Pros: Professional Weight, Bright, Doesn't Jam, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: Rips Easily, Poor Alignment
