Basic Copy Paper But Little Else
on May 11, 2008

This is a fair-to-good basic copy paper and can be used as typing paper and 'starter paper' but is not good for much else. The text quality is fair-to-good but generally appears a little 'soft'. This paper like many brands of 20-lb. paper rips and tears easily and must be handled carefully and it also jams easily and pulls 'doubles' at times on all my printers and copiers. One also must be careful to not set the ink/toner levels too high when using this paper or else the ink will bleed through easily and this paper is not recommended for 2-page documents or documents requiring a lot of ink/toner. Also many sheets of this paper have wrinkles at the edges and curls easily. The brightness varies from package to package but is generally 'mid-pack' as compared to other copy and multiuse papers on the market. In comparison Staples 'Bright White Multiuse Paper' has much better text quality is much brighter feels more 'substantial' doesn't rip or tear as easily rarely jams on my copiers and printers and is a much better paper overall.[...]

Unimpressive
on May 2, 2008

This paper is unimpressive. The brightness varies with each package and I notice there are some wrinkles and creases at the edges of some packages causing the papers inside to wrinkle and crease at the edges. The text quality is just 'OK'. The ink bleeds easily. Again this paper is unimpressive and I strongly recommend Staples use its bright white paper in all its Copy and print centers.

Easy to open reams

Paper is used for invoicing with a laser printer and making copies with toner copier. We love how easy it is to open the ream packages.

Great paper Good Value

We use this paper in all our printers (inkjet and laser) fax machine and copier. It looks great and very rarely jams any of the machines. The plastic packaging keeps the paper in great condition and the easy-open tab is a great feature! We stock up when it is on sale.

Not high quality at all
on March 25, 2008

I tried this paper to replace that of another brand's recycled paper because it was cheaper. It isn't cheaper when you get what you pay for and this was bad. I bought a case and every ream reacted the same way. After running it double-sided through a Xerox printer/copier it curled and waved. Then I tried to use my booklet maker to fold a 7 page booklet. The paper wouldn't stay straight. It ripped easily curled up and generally tried to jam the machine about every 8-10 copies. I had to print more than usual and the booklet is for a Non-profit client so costs need to be kept down. Theirs were mine weren't as I had to waste ink and paper with multiple reprints. I will never use this paper again. Other Staples brand papers might be fine but for 11 X 17 this certainly isn't multi-useable.
