This notebook works the same as other notebooks that are more expensive. In general I have found Staples brand to at least equal to national brands costing twice as much.

The covers on these notebooks are truly durable. They stand up to a school year of use as my kids shove them in and out of backpacks and lockers and drawers. I also like that they have perforated pages so if you need to remove a page to hand something into the teacher you can easily and neatly tear it out without compromising the notebook. I would like a few more color choices so that each class can be color coded but otherwise they are great.
