This notebook changed my life. It is 8.5” x 11” which is very generous for its size. I did not count the pages but am confident there were 100. It is college ruled which is important as there always should be rules specially in college and it might have a good influence on students. Last but not least you can even write into it. This will be my trusted companion for many weeks to come. I highly recommend it.

Holds up better than others to abuse

My daughter is REALLY hard on school supplies. She can "kill" a normal spiral notebook within a week or two. The heavy-duty non-crushable spiral is the main reason we bought this. Also the wire spiral is larger (bigger diameter) than thoe on bargain spiral notebooks. Because her teachers have her glue in extra papers her spirals often swell in size amd a small-diameter wire spiral will not accommodate all the notes she has to add. Finally the overall dimensions (almost 9" wide by 11 inches) allows her to glue in any worksheets teachers give her without having to trim them down to fit. The only downside to this spiral (other than the price) is that the paper quality seems to vary from notebook to notebook. Some of the notebooks seem to have mid-weight paper but some of the others seem to have light-weight paper.

The Staples notebook by Patagonia is very sturdy. The pages are smooth and the ink glides easily across the pages. I write a great deal taking notes and writng plans therefore I needed notebooks that have full size pages that will allow me to get lots of information on each of the pages. I purchased several of these notebooks. They are equal to the Five Star only at a better price. Their durability is also comparable and they are equal in size. I plan to purchase many more of these notebooks for my work students and schoo.
