Great Bargain on Index Cards

The Staples brand is always an indicator of fine quality at a reasonable price. The Staples 4 x 6 Unruled White Index Cards exemplify this hallmark. I prefer buying the Index Cards in quantity since I have discovered so many uses for them in my home office. The 500-card bulk pack suits my needs perfectly as it provides a large quantity of cards at a price that other office supply houses cannot offer. Knowing that Staples carries the paper products I use I don't even consider shopping at any of the other suppliers in our area. It's Staples first and last.

The Staples index cards are like a sheet of paper. The new index cards are not of the same "card stock" as I had purchased previously at Staples. Because they are so thin and flimsy I am returning them to the store as they are useless as an Index Card.

4X6 Index cards are very light stock

The stock on these is very poor. Very thin cards not suited for much. The last time we got these they were about 2 - 3 times heavier. Probably will not buy these again.

Should be called Index Paper

These papers are truly 4 inches by 6 inches and that's about the only good thing I have to say other than that they're white and unruled. Note that I called them papers not cards. Cards implies stiff CARDstock and this just isn't. Someone got the bright idea to save some money and make the cards thinner but it just doesn't work for me. I print my own cards for use in either a Staples ARC or Levenger Circa Binder - they're personalized project/reminder/to do cards which are wonderful. These just aren't thick enough and I'm having difficulty finding any that are - anywhere.

Had planned to redo my entire recipe box but these are so flimsy I can't pull them out one at a time. Also I had to buy a pack of 500 when I only wanted 100.

Light wieght

The card stock was lighter weight than I had expected but had no way of knowing this since this does not appear to be part of this type of product specification. I compared this to some 3x5 card stock I have and appears to be a different finish and weight. My intent was to print 2-sided on the stock using my HP LaserJet. I had no issue printing the first side but side 2 had issues consistently feeding the stock through the printer. This was possibly due to the finish type of stock or weight. I was able to complete my objective but had to print one-sided only.
