Back to Basics

Cracked me up that the automated system wanted a rating of something so basic but frankly I still love index cards. They are faster for info retrieval than my old computer and that's saying something. I can carry a couple around in a back pocket to remind me of the info rather than hauling around the laptop. They can be recycled. They can be visually organized in a way that allows for organizing your thoughts. It's not so easy to overlook info on cards as it is on a hidden file on a computer. They can be handed off to other people or thrown away without a thought. They don't disappear at a flick of a key but that's probably a good thing as then you don't dismiss something too lightly. You can leave one or several out to remind you of things. And boy are they cheaper than a new computer!
