The website describes these folders as 5" expandable. They are not. They are just your basic manila file folders.

The prduct's tabs are not large enough to even take a nice small label. Not worth the $. spend the $ on better quality.

Nice quality folders for a descent price. Don't bother paying extra for a name brand - these are just as good.

This is a very nice item. Not only is the tab reinforced but the folder itself is sturdy.

We use this product regularly

We use this product for all of or job folders. The projects may be open for a year or more and then stored for 7 years. These folders hold up very well. Often times we reuse them for multiple projects. We find this product to be very useful and will continue to use it. The pricing is very good and the quality is excellent.
Was very surprised to find something as common place as 5 tab reinforced manila folders was a "special order" item in the first place. And then the only brand offered was the Staples store brand. Thus I expected a quality similar to the name brand version of the same item. Although I like a good value these weren't that cheap. A good value is great but the poor quality of these folders doesn't make them a good value. What a disappointment. When tried to use the folders we found them rough edged (not smooth cut like the national brands) and flimsy. Although they are reinforced the paper that they are made with in the first place is so flimsy that they won't hold up any better than if we had just bought the un-reinforced national brand. Also we found that the reinforcement is is only well glued at the top of each folder with loose lower edges sometimes all the way across the width of the folder requiring us to us reinforcing tape across the inside seem on the reinforcement edge so that it doesn't come loose with use nor snags papers and paperclips as papers are removed from the folder. Each time we need make a folder for something we now have to take the time to use reinforcement tape across the bottom of the reinforced edge on the inside of the folder. What a waste of time to have to tape up each folder before we can use it.
These used to be great folders. Bought them for years for a busy office. Received a new box and they had sharp edges (not rounded) were not reinforced very thin frayed edges and the folds were already starting to tear. These would never hold up. We are returning them and will start buying our folders somewhere else.
