This fit my needs perfectly. It rolls under my desk and provides just the extra filing space needed. And the wooden construction even if fiberboard has an attractive finish and it's much sturdier than the thin metal typical of this size cabinet.
Absolute piece of junk. Arrived damaged beyond repair. Very heavy. The drawer that was not damaged was hard to open. Drawer fronts came right out of the holes. Way over priced for the quality.
Pretty good price for a very sturdy well-made file drawer. Edge banding is thick and laminate seems like it will wear well. Paper/pencils drawers are shallow but do the job. File area isn't huge but enough for the essential papers for working from home. I would buy again!
overall a neat little file cabinet--but things to know

Here are some points that I wish had been in other reviews: 1. The bottom (file) drawer has metal bars embedded in the tops of all four sides. This means that you have office file cabinet-like racks for hanging files--letter or legal. You do not need an additional rack in order to use hanging files. This was a wonderful surprise! 2. The two top drawers have actual storage space that is only 2" deep. This was not so wonderful. I wished they were deeper. But the cabinet is very compact. 3. All the drawers have professional metal mechanisms that I have seen in office filing cabinets. So far that means they move in and out easily. 4. Putting the wheels on requires some real patience--the holes for the screws are small and so are the screws. You may have to put the cabinet upside down to get a good angle for attaching them but the cabinet is heavy so righting it can be challenging. 5. The first cabinet I received from Staples had to be replaced because there was a chip on the top. Gladly they got one out to me the next day. The second cabinet still had blemishes including a small cracked area on the bottom but since they were invisible I just let it go. Staples it's really important to check merchandise before sending it. And definitely the customer should check before trashing the package supplies. 6. I asked about the company that produced the cabinet. I was told it was assembled overseas. It was shipped from China. 7. I really appreciated the help I received from the Staples department that was apparently tasked with handling repairs but I was referred to them before the purchase and I asked lots of questions. They were very persistent in the search for my answers. I would recommend it if none of the above bothers you.
