This is the right size for most uses. The bands are not particularly thin or thick. It has been my go to sized band for decades. This is the first time I have used the Staples brand though and they are just fine. I did find a few bands are super tight at first but once they are used they seem to gain elasticity.

I needed some rubber bands. I knew the size I wanted though not the thickness. It was easy enough figuring everything out online and since rubber bands are so inexpensive I ordered a couple of options #18 and #32. The package arrived and everything ended up rainbows and unicorns.
