Great Mechanical Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before trying these new BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils, I would have wanted to know how much the replacement lead costs and if I could buy the lead separately or would I have to buy the whole pack of pencils. I have never used Mechanical Pencils before because I have seen my kids use them before and every-time they write the lead would seem to break or when they would use the eraser the lead would pop out. I have even seen the eraser break right out of the pencil, so I was very skeptical that they would be any better. So, when I received these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils for free from BzzAgent I was excited to try them to see if they are better then the ones my kids have used in the past. Well, they are GREAT mechanical pencils. I used these at first to make up a shopping list just to test drive them. WOW do they write so smoothly. I even got to use the eraser and to my surprise the lead didn't advance at all and the eraser didn't pop off and it erased my mistake perfectly. I will definitely be using these all the time instead of a regular pencil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils are so smooth to write with. The lead didn't break on me when I pushed down to write (which is a common problem for me). I loved the soft grip! My kids are so excited that they are #2 pencils and are looking forward to using them to take their standardized tests this fall. Thanks for giving them to me to try, I will definitely be buying more!

BIC Mechanical Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used other mechanicals and the lead always broke. and with the Bic I did not have that issue. My child used this also and said it was good and it looked like a pen. The ease of writing with this and erasing. I like the idea that is come with extra lead and erasers. You know most of the time erasers are the first to go and then when they are gone the pencil normally is thrown out. I have found a new mechanical that my children like and so do I. This will replace the any mechanical I have used in the past.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was never a mechanical pencil person and recently was doing a project where i needed a pencil, i kept breaking my tips and couldn't find my sharpener. I must have dug out every traditional pencil in my house. When i received the BIC velocity mechanical pencils i wondered why i waited so long. these are dependable and easy to use. The tips don't break as easy as i thought they would so I always had a pencil to use without searching for a sharpener.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm usually not a fan of writing with pencils, but this is the best pencil I have ever used. It writes smoothly and I almost feel like I'm using a pen. I will definitely continue using these pencils in the future.

Bic Velocity why it's the better choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did a comparison between Bic Velocity, xtra-comfort and xtra-percision. At first visually the Bic Velocity stand out because of the brighter colors and how the pencil it's self is a bit larger and sorta cool with the clear plastic around a colored center. Next comfort in writing, the Velocity wins again, the larger grips have little notches that help you hold the pencil more comfortably and the notches help you hold it at an angle that makes writing neater (I'm a 4th grade teachers assistant so this notch is a plus) lastly the actual writing of the pencil, the Velocity and comfort are both .7 lead and they wrote the same and the precision takes a .5 lead and I found that the writing was a little lighter in color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think that my daughter is scared as she is starting high school in less than two weeks. Well, when the BIC pencils came in the mail last week she definitely perked up. They honestly put a smile on her face when I gave them to her. I cant wait for her to take them to school to do their magic on paper. More to come as school starts on August 8th! I dont recall her being this happy about previous pencils.
