Writing excitement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as I got home I opened the box and immediately my son was trying to open the package of pencils. I told him that I think he will like these pencils better then the cheap store brands we get him. He immediately took one and started write notes for his final. Next thing I know I'm getting yelled that we need to only buy these mechanical pencils because the are comfortable to write with and the lead isn't breaking right away.. Looks like this is a new staple for his collage courses

Best mechanical pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best mechanical pencils I have had. The lead is really smooth and sturdy and does not break while I write. I have had mechanical pencils in the past and they break when I write because I press a little too hard. It is also comfortable to hold. My daughter also likes the BIC Velocity mechanical pencils because she too presses a little too hard when she writes sometimes and the lead would always break. The eraser is the best because it doe not smudge like other erases and leaves the paper clean. My daughter erases a lot and many times would leave her paper looking dirty with lead smudges but not with this eraser. I would recommend this product.

Fun Mechanical Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils were provided for my honest unbiased opinion of the product. These pencils are very colorful and also inviting. I love that they come in a pack of 5 and also include additional led and erasers for future use. I enjoyed seeing the excitement my kids displayed after being able to use them. I gave the pencils 5 stars because as a parent it warms your heart to have products that are inviting and inspire your kids to learn, draw or just be creative with.

Pros:
Come in really bright, vibrant colors
Comes with EXTRA lead and erasers...BONUS!!!
Erasers completely erase clean without smudging or tearing your paper.
Lead writes very smooth and dark like I prefer
Lead easily advances up the pencil barrel
Has a nice, comfortable grip
Tip is retractable so it is not poking things in your pocket, bag, etc.

Cons:
Sometimes the retractable tip goes back in when you are writing. Can be ANNOYING.
The lead is a nice, fine lead that writes dark, but since it's so fine, it can snap pretty easily. This makes you use more lead than really necessary, or you have to only click out a really tiny portion at a time.

Overall thoughts:
Despite a little issue with breakage of lead, it is not something that would prohibit me from buying these pencils. I really like how they write and they are a good value for the money. The erasers aren't tiny and will really last, especially since you get a few extra in the package. The barrels are not cheap like some mechanical pencils are, so this will last and not be something you throw out once the lead is gone. I would definitely recommend purchasing these!

My daughter hates to write

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I won't lie, my youngest daughter hates to write. Yet when the new mechanical pencils came in, her cute little eyes lit up. Not because of the cool colors (although she loves them) and not the extra lead (although we always run out) but it was the extra erasers. With a student who struggles despite many lessons and practice to write neatly, having easy to erase lead AND extra erasers makes these a win win in our house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These mechanical pencils boost that they are smoother than the traditional BIC. They are not lying. I love how cleanly they write. I also love how durable the eraser is when I do make mistakes. It is easy to burn through the typical eraser of a mechanical pencil but these are top quality. The colors are so bright so it's nice that they are refillable as well.

Bic Velocity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think The Bic Velocity pencils are the best mechanical pencils that I have used. They are much stronger and do not break easily so they last longer. They also have a nice grip, much a like a pen. The erasers do not fall off as soon as you use them. All in all a winner!#Gotitfree
