Best mechanical pencil I have used!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these pencils, and as a college student, they are a must-have. The grip is perfect, and feels very comfortable. I could write for hours using these pencils! They come in such pretty colors, too.

Excellent Pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils at work for several weeks now and it is my go-to mechanical pencil. I love the bright colors and comfortable grip. I don’t care for the eraser cap as when I need an eraser I want it accessible and not have to do an extra step, but I easily overcame this by just throwing away all the caps. I’ve also shared pencils with co-workers as we all do a lot of writing in pencil and they have also loved them! I will continue to use BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils as it’s a great pencil and a name brand that I have trusted for years.

Have some fun while you take notes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think these are literally the best mechanical pencils that I have ever laid my hands on. The grips are extremely useful, and prevent me from getting calluses. The bright, vibrant colors that these pencils come in are fun, too. The eraser works very well, and the lead is strong and leaves a beautiful print. I love them, and I have recommended to close to everyone that I know.

Best mechanical pencils

Pack-It Up Papermate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At my office, we use a lot of pencils. We are an engineering firm and everything is done in pencil. Who, of course, has time to sharpen pencils. We are all about the mechanical pencil here. For years, our Supply Manager has been on auto-pilot and has ordered the Papermate mechanical pencil. Recently. Papermate came out with a new mechanical pencil with cool colors and all that jazz. We used them and we like them just fine. Then my Bic Velocity BzzKit arrived and I pulled out the pencils. At first glance, they appeared no different than the Papermates we already use. But, on closer inspection, I found that they were completely different, in ALL the right ways. Everything that is wrong with the Papermate, Bic corrected and without a doubt, is offering the best disposable mechanical pencil on the market. The three improvements are fairly obvious when you compare the two pencils. First, is the capped eraser. This may not seem like a big game-changer for most, but we have found with the Papermate that the eraser would fall out at the end and it was very frustrating for our team. The capped eraser was the first thing that everyone noticed and several commented that Bic must have tapped our offices, because we had all griped at one time or another when our eraser had fallen out.
The second improvement was noticed shortly after using the pencil. The finger grip has great padding. The Papermate has a rubber grip on it, but it seems more for keeping the pencil in place on your fingers, than to provide comfort to your fingers when you have been using the pencil for an extended period of time. The third is the convenient dispensing mechanism of the pencil lead. With the Papermate, there is a separate button-thing on the barrel of the pencil, which really isn't intuitive. The Bic Velocity on the other hand, allows you to press down or click on the capped eraser, as you would a retractable pen and it dispenses more lead. That small decision makes the pencil easier and more intuitive. You don't want to have to think when using your pencil, it is an instrument and when your brain is busy creating, it just needs to be the conduit of those thoughts and creations. It has been frustrating at time, to break your thought process to remember to have to click on the barrel of the pencil to load more lead. It may sound inconsequential to most, but when you use pencils most of your day, everyday, these small things make a BIG difference. To not be outdone, the Bic Velocity comes in fun colors, too.
