Win-win-win: Fun colors, strong lead, easy erase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received free samples of the new BIC Velocity pencils. These pencils come in fun, bright colors. The only draw back is that every pack comes with a pink as well as a purple pencil which my boys refused to use. Fortunately for me, I have a daughter who happily claimed these colors. Unlike many other pencils in the similar price point which tends to break easily, or feels like you are ripping the paper as you write, the lead in these pencils are strong and writes very smoothly. Also, it really does erase very easily and leaves the paper quite clean of leftover marks. #gotitfree

Trying to replace the lead was a chore, it did not fit properly and you had to take it completely apart for it to fit. Oh, and don't wait until the end of the lead to change it because the end piece broke off in the pencil and we could not get it removed. Love how it writes, but not changing it; nor does the eraser work well either.

Colorful so you won't lose them at the bottom of a drawer, thick lead that doesn't snap after every number, and smooth, clear eraser that doesn't leave a mark. The barrels are nice to grip, don't hurt your hand, and we basically don't need any other writing implements in our house. From the middle schooler to the attorney, we all love them. Whether we're drawing or balancing our checkbook so, these are the best!
