The pencil lead doesn't snap off. my only complaint is that it looks too much like a pen and i often grab it to write out checks and such. The colors are snazzy though!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 15 year old daughter is the mechanical pencil user in the household so these comments are hers. She does not like that you remove the eraser to put in more lead. She says that once the eraser gets worn down, its very hard to take it out. She thinks the little cap on the top of the eraser is a waste because there is not where to put it when using the eraser. She says the lead writes to light, but that it erases well. They are not her first choice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received my free samples of the Bic Velocity pencils the first things I noticed were the following. They came in a five pack which was nice and they were multiple colors which I liked. I loved the fact that they had extra erasers an lead with them. Usually you have to get the extra lead yourself and these are the only mechanical pencils I have seen that you can replace the erasers. Its also nice that they have the grip at the bottom which makes it easier for people with hand problems like arthritis to use them. They write very smooth and dont seem to smudge so your writing stays readable, and the earase easily and clean without smudges. They seem to be pretty easy to find in most stores which is helpful. Different stores have different size packages I found two packs and four packs.I have a coworker that loves to use mechanical pencils so I gave her a few coupons I received with my free samples an she bought them later that night. When she came into work the next day she told me see had tried one of the pencils and absolutely loved how they wrote, and would have to get some more. She asked me how I got the coupons so I explained to her that I belong to a website where they send you products and coupons and you write a review, told her she should check into it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My biggest issue with mechanical pencils is that the lead always breaks when your writing. It seems like such a waste. I really wanted to know would the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils be the same way. My daughter was extremely excited to try these pencils. She liked the design and colors of them. I watched her do her homework with the pencils and the lead seems much stronger. Mistakes erase very easily not leaving the mistake still on the paper. My daughter stated the comfort of holding the pencil while working was extremely comfortable. We were very happy with these pencils and we will be purchasing them in the future.

Regular pencils hurt his fingers, and sharpening them during class can be a real hassle. The lead and eraser refills are super handy, and the ergonomic grips really help to keep his fingers comfortable! These pencils make schoolwork easier, and hes enjoyed using them. I can see a big imprpvement in the quality of his handwriting, and I think the BIC Velocity pencils are to thank. I was worried that the school would have an issue with using mechanical pencils, but they were actually well received in each class. Because these are #2 , theyre perfect for all class work and testing! Plus--- the erasers actually erase completely! No more pencil smears and erase marks all over his papers :) The BIC Velocity pencils have worked wonders for my son, and we will definitely purchase more. I received a free package to test and review, and I highly recommend these pencils!!!
