I did tell my kids that they needed to get the cheap pencils though, so I was very happy when I got to try the bic velocity pencils for free. They are worth the extra money (if your kids can keep track of them). They write well and are comfortable to hold. Great pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] these are the best pencils i have used in my entire life! just one pencil lasts about six months for me. they're super comfortable. the led rarely breaks. these are the absolute best and they're the only pencils i will ever recommend or use for the rest of my life. the only thing that doesn't last are the erasers, but they come with refills. i would use a separate eraser though because when you run out you're not going to be able to hold the led in and what's the point of that? just keep a couple of erasers handy. also, never let anyone borrow them. they're too good to be given to others. if people are going to beg you for pencils, but never give out the velocity pencils. i treat mine like my own children. i'm just really passionate about these pencils, and I've never been passionate about pencils before.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is 11 years old and will be going to 6th grade this year and he loved the BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils that we received from Bzzagent. He loved the bright colors and that is came included with extra lead and erasers. I liked this product because the pencil size seems larger then most mechanical pencil so it was easier to grip and is a sturdy product. they also write very smooth and the lead doesn't just break off. Great product and just in time for the new school year.

Right off the bat I love the look of the pencil because it's bigger than most mechanical pencils and it feels very comfortable in my hand. When you write with it, the writing is so smooth and effortless. The lead doesn't break easy at all, even with pressure. I love the colors and overall just love this new pencil.
