Last night before starting her homework, my daughter specifically sought out the BIC Velocity pencil before starting. She likes how they write, and how the lead is strong and doesn't keep snapping off while she's writing. The eraser on top is great for those oopses". Also

I like that they came with lead refills and extra erasers that work really well. They write dark and don't break easily like other mechanical pencils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are very comfortable to hold and to grip. They come with a pencil grip to keep your fingers from cramping. Being a writer I absolutely love new writing utensils. And, being a back to school (college) student this has come in very handy being that I write for long periods of time. The pencils come in a variety of bright colors, extra lead and eraser tops. They are also refillable. Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils are and have been a great addition to my supply!

Nice clean lines, the lead doesn't break easily, nor does it streak like some do, and I write with a heavy hand. Comes with plenty of refills and erases very nicely. I have hidden these from my kids so they don't take off with them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They seem to be more strong to hold & grip. They're not as flimsy. The lead comes out better so it's more like writing with a pen than a pencil. When I have to erase though, the eraser seems just about the same. A bit small & Luke it's about to fall out. When putting the cap back on I feel like I'm pushing the lead out too. Overall though, it works real nice & I like how it writes so smooth.
