love love this BIC PRODUCT !!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being a college student myself and two kids in school this was the perfect product for us to try. i hate writing with pens but typically in college i have to but whatever I can get away with i only use pencils and typically go through alot of them and i will admit i am not a a big fan of mechanical pencils because i always felt like they were a waste of money having to buy lead a lot espcially when it comes to my children because they always break. the lead seems to be very thin and breaks quickly. although my daughter loves them. after getting the product for some reason the packaging immediately caught my eye I just liked the colors of the product and the way the extra lead and erasers were visible to the eye ! once i opened and actually touched the pencil I Liked the size of it and the feel most mechanical pencils are very flimsy and you know it's not gonna last long but this one was different . i loved the the coors and the lead was tick and very vibrant the eraser was wonder using the eraser you could not even see there was any mistake before. I love this product and have a different opinion about buying and using mechanical pencils but not all of them. the kids love them and being kids they like the option or be able to use a color of the same color shirt or shoes they are wearing that day! i will be buying this product knowing B.I.C is typical the only pens I buy i know i have a reliable,durable and affordable mechanical pencil!!! Incredible Pencils!

First of all, let me start by saying how much I love the quality of the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils! They are very sturdy, and fit comfortably in my (and the children's) hands. The grip is great! Most pencils have a very hard grip, one of those chunky rubber ones, or no grip at all. This one is just right. Not too hard, not too soft. No matter what size your hand is, these pencils will fit in pretty much every hand. My husband has pretty big hands, but can comfortably use these pencils. My children (12 and 15) also like the way the pencils feel in their hands. Besides the fact that the tip of the pencil always stays sharp, my daughter loves mechanical pencils because of how dark they write. The BIC Velocity pencils surpass most mechanical pencil lead because: 1) The lead hardly ever breaks. 2) It writes very dark without having to bear down hard. 3) It is very easy to change the lead. The colors are vibrant (which my son loves), and he can easily spot them in his pencil drawer among all the other pencils. They also have a very sleek design. The package comes with some extra lead (so helpful) and some spare erasers (which most pencil brands don't do). The erasers are easy to change, but when you try to erase something the eraser kind of turns in the thing that holds it. That's my only con, is that the eraser turns when you erase. These pencils are great and we have already bought some more packs for the children to use for school. I highly recommend these.

Great Mechanical Pencils for Kids & Adults

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would count as one of those pencil fanatics. I have been using the same mechanical pencils for more than 15 years. I haven't switched because I couldn't find another mechanical pencil that felt comfortable and wrote the same. I have finally found the replacement. The BiC Velocity Mechanical Pencils feel good and write smoothly. The colors add a lot more flair than my old black mechanical pencil. My 11 year old daughter tried the BiC Velocity Mechanical Pencils and immediately wanted to add them to her back to school supply list. She liked how they looked, felt and wrote. But what was most important to her was that they are strong and she won't have to worry about breaking lead while she's working at school. The pencil will always be sharp! When we shopped for additional BiC Velocity Mechanical Pencils, I was surprised to find that they were also priced similarly to other mechanical pencils. We were going to buy them anyway, but the fact that they aren't quite a bit more expensive than others should really seal the deal! Great product BiC!

Very soft lead which is nice to write with - sometimes with other pencils the lead looks dark and ugly. My kids will love these for school & I already gave the coupons out to his friends too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my kids are having loads of fun with BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils that I went out and bought them each of pack for school and there are 5 of them . They just love how great they write and how they don't break. They are using them for hours of fun that I don't want to end because its keeping them creative instead of in front of tv playing video games all day.

Smooth writing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pencil lead writes nicely and is smooth on paper. The Pencil itself could use a cushioned gripper. I do tend to hold my writing appliance pretty firmly though.
