Best Pencil I have ever used!

I have had more than enough homework nights ruined because a pencil would not sharpen, we could not find a pencil that was not broken or the lead would not break as soon as you started writing. These pencils are not only great colors, but they are sturdy, the lead does not break and they last well! I love them. I will not be buying cheaper lead pencil ever again. These are amazing. I have been using them for my calendar, the eraser works great when I have to change plans. I am in love with these pencils!

Looks Good, Breaks Easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first received the Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils, I was very excited. They were brightly colored and had a comfortable grip without being overly bulky - I could easily see this being very popular to teens returning to school. Both myself and my teen daughter took a pack - I used them at home and she used them at school. Within days of using these pencils, my teen daughter found that the casing often separated from the top part of the pencil on almost every one of them she had. It was coming apart where the casing meets the grip, and if pushed back together, the mechanical pencil would not work. I did not find this issue at home, where I do not use pencils as often, but certainly I found that they were not very durable, and it would prevent me from buying them for my children in the future. The pencils do write nice and are comfortable to hold. The eraser left no marks. I am giving this product two stars due to the durability issue - perhaps if these two parts screwed together with a deeper grove channel, it could help fix this error.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I Loved using these pencils!!! They were by far the best mechanical pencils that I have used. I love how smooth they write. The lead also lasts a long time. I was writing a paper and they wrote so smoothly and I only went through a little bit of lead. I loved the fun vibrant colors. It makes going to school and going to class ten times better because of the fun colors. Everyone notices how stylish and incredible they look. I also them because I write so smoothly with them. The lead is great and makes me write so neatly. I also love that It gives you extra lead and erasers because I erase a lot. By proving extra erasers it makes it ten times better for me when i make mistakes and enables me to erase more. I love how smooth the eraser is. When i erase stuff it erases so fast and is great.

The lead does not break as easy as some of the other mechanical pencils. My 11 year old son also loves these pencils. He has struggled with his handwriting and these have helped to make his writing so much more legible. I am definitely buying these again. Great job BIC!

So I did the task of all of us trying them. They of course loved them and said they were easy to use. I found them easy as well. They didn't break off when using them. My daughter have some to friends during her theater rehearsals and they liked them as well. I would definitely buy them.

The extra lead comes with its own little case that also holds the extra erasers, very neat. I like the soft grip and the retractable tip is great.
