The Best By Far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used practically every mechanical pencil under the sun and BIC® Velocity® Mechanical Pencils win the top prize. I only got to use them for a week and then they were gone. Gone because my kids grabbed them to use for school and now they want me to buy more. I can't complain. If they are using them and they like using them, then I am willing to give them up. What amazes me is that my kids usually loose their pencils at school and neither one has lost one yet. They must really like them to be watching over them so closely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i think these pencils are awesome so does my kids. Easy to grip. they come in different colors in a 5 pack plus extra lead and erasers. What I like most is the lead doesn't break easy like most brands of lead does for mechanical pencils.

Better than others

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My stepdaughter is 14 & she was rather excited to get the Bic Velocity mechanical pencils for school. The colors are appealing and they are easier to use than regular pencils that require constant sharpening. These would have gotten a full 5 stars but the writing doesn't erase as well as the package claims.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids like the soft grip with the smooth writing along with the lead not breaking easily. They like that it has a cap over the easer and that it erases easily and clean. It comes with extra lead to refill the pencils. Well worth the money to spend on mechanical pencils. Great for high school students

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love the Velocity pencils. They use them for all the classes even art. The color is nice and dark and writes very smooth. The only thing is the rubber grip could be a little bigger for more comfort. But over all I would recommend to other parents.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We struggle with mechanical pencils around here. They are either too hard, too soft or break way too often. These are the exception! We love that they come with plenty of extra erasers and lead. The lead is very strong, but writes smoothly at the same time. These are our go to mechanical pencils from now on!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not use pencils as much as my daughter does so I had to go to her for an expert opinion. Right away she looks over the pencil and admires the bright colors that they come in. She picks out the blue one and starts clicking away for first use. Grabs a empty page out of her sketch book and begins to sketch away. She immediately says that she likes that it did not break right away as soon as she started to use it, then quickly she erases a portion of the face she has started. A slight grimace, as it smudges and "skids" on the paper. though she is not put off since she explains to me that most pencils do this since there seems to be a coating on most new erasers. But she is back to drawing and is pleased at the texture an smoothness of the lead. This is important to her for her drafting class as she can be deducted for this on assignments.
For me I would agree that I like the way it writes and a quick rub of the eraser on empty page or even the leg of my jeans gets rid of the coating. I really like the colors, and also that the spare lead and erasers are in the same container.
Overall, she is very happy with the pencils and has asked that I not giveaway all the pencils to other people, since she wants some as back up. I will likely keep a couple for myself too. :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the best mechanical pencils I have found. They write smooth and clean with strong, long lasting lead. I love the colors because they brighten my day. They erase smooth and clean when I make mistakes. It's also good that I can replace the lead AND the erasers. My granddaughter absolutely loves them for school also!
