The pencil that looks like a pen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As my children did their Summer work, I was happy to give them these pencils to check out. Both of my kids prefer mechanical pencils although they often complain about the tips breaking when they are writing. This is usually when they are working on Math and even the few seconds it takes to "reload" the mechanical pencil can affect their learning.
I placed these on the table and both kids saw them and did not believe they were pencils - they look so sturdy compared to normal mechanical pencils. When they started their Summer work, they could not believe the pencil did not break - not even once!! It has all the benefits of a pencil but writes as smoothly as a pen.
I expect my kids to be the envy of their classmates and heck, their grades may even improve.

Sturdy Smooth Writers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These BIC® Velocity® Mechanical Pencils are great for everyday use. The lead writes smoothly…no little lead flakes left behind on your work…and produces a dark, thick stroke to your letters. The barrel of the pencil is more like that of a pen, so I think they are more comfortable to write with than the cheaper version of BIC’s mechanical pencils.
The other thing that I like is that the pencils come with an extra supply of lead AND ERASERS! Those little erasers on mechanical pencils are always the first to go, so having an extra stash of them is a great solution to that problem. However, I have to say that the clear protective eraser topper doesn’t stay on very well and is kind of annoying to have to take on and off when you need to erase. That could be improved upon.
Got this product free to test out from BIC. Opinions are 100% my own.

Comfort and style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The BIC Velocity is so comfortable to use. I use a pencil everyday at work. I only use a mechanical pencil. The soft base makes it nice to use. I tend to grip my pencil too tight and have a tendency to press too hard. The lead strength is also perfect for me.
I am going to put these out at work and see how quick they go.

LOVE these pencils!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We loved these pencils. We received them just before school started so that worked out well. My son took them to school and was just as pleased as I am. Not only did the colors appeal to him but he said they write well and that the lead didn't break as easily as most mechanical pencils do. I was able to snag the pink and purple pencils from him since, you know- that wouldn't be cool for a boy to have and I have used them at work. In the past I have always had issues with the erasers coming out when I try to use the eraser and it resulted in all the lead falling out but that hasn't happened with these pencils so they definitely get a thumbs up from me!! I would buy these pencils for school use as well as for use in the office for myself.

Kids love these pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love watching my kids write and draw, and with these new pencils there's nothing stopping them! I have already had to "pick a winner" between two drawing contests and one story writing contest with their new pencils, my daughter said her new pencil helps her write better stories lol. My other loves the way her drawings are looking with these pencils and the ease of erasing when she makes a mistake on her drawing. Huge hit at our house!

Fun colors and great design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children and I love these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils they come in fun colors and have a great design. They are comfortable to hold and write with. They are very practical because you can buy replacement lead and erasers so less expensive than buying new again plus better for the environment too. I would have added a picture with this post but my teenagers liked the pencils so much they walked off with them all! HA .. kids! We are going to buy some more for the kids for back to school. It's also a plus that they are number 2 lead because that is what's required on their tests at school! Great pencils that we will continue to use. We enjoyed this product I would highly recommend them!

Smooth and clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate buying mechanical pencils. The lead seems to break easily, the advanciing mechanism breaks and the erasers fall apart. Not these. I can write smooth and smudge free and advance the lead without it breaking and falling out, and the erasers will fix any mistake without a sign.

Very colorful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are very bright and stylish compared to the boring yellow pencils. Easy to use and refill. They write smoothly and feel comfortable in your hand.The lead last such a long time as well as the erasers. If you use to much of the eraser though without changing it it will get stuck. I would use a different eraser instead of the pencil eraser.
