[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to write with unless something is wrong with it the lead does not go out far so it will not break as easy since I write kinda heavy. My son really likes them I always add mechanical pencils to his school supply list. He was happy to see these since they came from school started. He likes the way they look. I will get his opinion how he liked them in school that will be in the next review.

How does it work for a left handed person?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the comfort grip on the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils is so comfortable. I'm a left handed person so comfort is hard to find. I also like that I can still write without problem on uneven surfaces. I don't have to press hard to get the pencil to work. The cap over the eraser is a nice feature as well as in the past I've lost erasers using other brands of mechanical pencils. I always am curious about how comfortable a pencil is for a left handed person, and after using this my answer is it works great!

BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the new BIC Mechanical Pencils are a major upgrade from my old BIC mechanical pictures. As you can see from my picture the difference in size, and the way they write.
The new BIC Velocity pencils come in a variety of colors and have a comfort grip that keeps your hand from hurting.
The BIC velocity color pencils erase nicely leaving little trace of what you wrote before.
I like that they are refillable erasers and #2lead.
I believe these should be in everyone's back to school shopping cart.
I am very pleased I got to try these new pencils from a promotion from BIC and Bzz Agent. #GOTITFREE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not only do BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils write better than some of the other brands out there, they are easy for me and my kids to hold. The erasers are awesome and we love the fun colors the pencils come in!! My kids have to use mechanical pencils for cursive and these are the only pencils we will buy!

I never thought I'd get so excited about a mechanical pencil!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll admit that my first thought when seeing these was a mere, "Eh... pencils... Whatever." This wasn't exactly on my top 10 list of things to try out. But now that we've tried them...
Okay, first off let me say that we're long done with regular pencils. The teacher would get annoyed (and later on after we started homeschooling, I would get annoyed) when the pencil sharpener had to be used during a lesson. My kid in particular seems to be one of those kids who is rough on a pencil, and she goes through a whole pack of them pretty quickly from all the breaking and sharpening.
Some of the cheaper mechanical pencils can be difficult to refill. And the lead can be so fragile. I've broken many refills just putting them into the pencil, so you can imagine how easily my daughter breaks them while using them. She also has a tendency to bear down when writing, and that makes erasing particularly difficult when it's all but engraved in the paper due to the point being so fine.
These have been really nice-- something I'd be willing to pay more for. Less breakage means I'm refilling less. And she can actually erase this stuff!!! So far, we haven't run into that occasional "grit" that you sometimes get in pencil lead. You'd almost think you were using a gel pen. Colors aren't really my thing, but my daughter being only 10, she's into it. She loves the look of these so much and gets excited to use them.

Love These !!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would recommend these to anyone who asks. Not only are they a bright color my kids love them. With a very comfortable rubber grip which makes working with them great. With other mechanical pencils when you erase there is still a faint trace of what was written with these there was no marks. Which is great for both my kids and I.
