[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit that I've been out of school for years and have rarely picked up a mechanical pencil since, but my son recently graduated from the wooden barrels to mechanical pencils. First off, I have to say that the lead is great--my son used to complain about the friction when using other leads. I do think that the best feature is the eraser--finally a pencil that erases as well as it writes! I am glad that my days of sharpening are behind me, and he loves the pop of color, especially his favorite blue BIC Velocity mechanical pencil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Call me crazy, but I love the fact that the eraser has a cap on it!! I constantly lotion my hands or the natural oils of my skin ruin the erasers, causing them to get that dark grey film, so then it smudges instead of erases. So the cap is AWESOME! When I initially used the pencil, I had to do a double take. I began to write with it and I stopped because I thought that something was wrong with the pencil. Well, it was just me. It was so smooth that it was just gliding across the paper. I love how bulky it is, the grip on it, the look, and the feel. I also like the extra supply case that comes along with it. That's pretty convenient & great for kids to take to school. I've always purchased BIC mechanical pencils, but this has truly taken it to another level.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: Practical design, good eraser on top, low price
Cons: clip is easy to break
I use mechanical pencil, because if I make mistake on my writing, I can erase and write again. So, a good quality mechanical pencil is very important to me, especially in my Mission. I was a LDS missionary. I have to write down the information of everyone I first meet, so that I can contact them again. A good mechanical pencil can help me a lot. I love this mechanical pencil. I use this brand of mechanical pencil for almost one year. It has a very good quality.
First, I like the design of Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencil. Even though it doesn’t has a trendy design. But I think it has a practical design. Bic American Mechanical Pencil is slim and regular length. It fit every bag and pencil case. I used a little planner in my Mission. It has a little spiral blinding. I try many different brand of mechanical pencil to fit in that spiral blinding, they all aren’t fit. Just Bic Velocity Mechanical pencil can fit in the little spiral blinding. And it is long then the little spiral blinding, so that I can easily pull out.
Second, when I use Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencil to write, I feel it is steady. When I use another mechanical pencil, I feel like the lead is shaking, that makes me feel the lead will break. I really like the steady feeling when I use Bic Pros: Practical design, good eraser on top, low price
Cons: not trendy design, clip is easy to break

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm definitely purchasing these for myself and my teenager going into high school. The writing is smooth, the grip is so comfortable and the eraser actually works. I love that the package comes with refills!! I've been using these pencils for drafting house plans and designs and wow - a great job! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. #BICVelocity #GotItFree

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My (now) high schooler loves the ease of having a mechanical pencil, but hates the way the lead always breaks. In fact he didn't want to even try these ones out because he has always struggled with others in the past. He loved these ones and gladly "took them off my hands". I saved a few for my little guy too because he hasn't mastered correct pressure when writing and these will be perfect. We will for sure be buying more of these in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually stick to the packs of BIC pencils that have 24 cheap pencils in them, but I am so glad I bought these! I was actually a little apprehensive when I first ordered them - I only bought them because a friend loaned me his and I lost the pencil cap and I felt soooo bad I just had to replace his. But, they have become my favorite lead based writing utensil!
Anyway, personally I think these pencils are great. They write very smoothly. I haven't had an issue with putting too much pressure and having the lead snap. My friend who actually has this issue with a lot of pencils doesn't have it with these either.
The erasers on these pencils are pretty nice too. They don't seem to disintegrate into tiny specks like ones on cheaper mechanical pencils. They also don't make that horrible 'noise' that the pink erasers do either, which is great. One thing I do dislike about these though is that they get used up pretty quickly. I've been mainly only using the pink pencil and eraser is about halfway gone already and it's only been about 3 weeks since I got these. It's a little disappointing, but the pack does come with extra erasers. I'd definitely recommend getting a separate eraser though, like one of the the big rectangle ones.
Speaking of erasers, one thing I don't understand is the caps. The erasers have caps on them. ...Why? The whole cap thing is why I had to get these in the first place. I think they're supposed to prevent having the lead get pushed out accidentally while you have the pencils in your bag or a case or something. However, upon trying out these pencils for the first time, I immediately lost two of the caps. They're clear so they are very difficult to find if you misplace them. Be careful.
These pencils seem to be pretty durable. I've had one of mine roll of my desk and get kicked across the classroom several times and stepped on once and it hasn't cracked or anything. These might actually be suitable for children and clumsy people like myself.
The design of these is just great too in my opinion. The look is very sleek and the colors are so attractive. My favorites are the pink and orange. I honestly don't see too many orange mechanical pencils. The yellow is great too. It actually looks even brighter and more neon in person than in the photo. The blue one is just blue - there's nothing much to say about it. They all look pretty nice. I may even go so far as to say they look /sharp/. Because they're pencils. Do you get my joke?
Overall, I definitely think these are worth the price. They'll last you a long time and save you money in the long run if you are like me and used to keep buying the huge packs cheaper pencils every few months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils were great! My children love mechanical pencils, but usually they break so easily- these pencils wrote smooth and we're great when drawing. My children and I have art class everyday, since school is out, and these pencils have been a great addition to their art pencils. I prefer to sketch with these pencils over my usual drawing pencils. I mean they were really smooth! and the lead didn't break on me once. The lead also lasted a long time before I had to click the eraser for it to be longer. Oh and the eraser- it erased very clean and clear, except it will get the black from the lead from erasing excessively, but if I erased a blank piece of paper, it was good as new. We love these pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really nice colors. Like the cap on the eraser. Happy my boys have back to school pencils. They seem to write smooth and fit nicely.
