Very happy with these pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter absolutely loves these pencils, and so do I. The pencil has a smooth grip which makes writing easy, and the lead is medium thickness (0.7mm) which allows for less lead breaking. The packages come with extra lead and extra erasers, which is sooo convenient. No more trips to the pencil sharpener at school! My child is a third grader and this pencil is excellent for those beginning to hone in on their penmanship skills. She loves to write with these pencils and I'm happy that they are of great quality. It's a win win for both of us. When I was younger, I used to write with the regular BIC mechanical pencils, as these new Velocity pencils outshine the old ones by far. They write just like a pen, but it's a pencil and is erasable! We are very happy with these pencils, and recommend them for students of all ages as well as anyone who likes to write.

No more broken lead!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you BIC VELOCITY MECHANICAL PENCILS for sending my free pencils. My daughter & I were both excited when they came & couldn't wait to use them. The colors of the pencils are so bright and fun. I love the grip pad on the pencil, it keeps it comfortably in your hand and doesn't let your fingers slip. The lead is strong and has not broken on me yet. I have always had a problem with the lead in mechanical pencils breaking on me and that is why I never used them. I don't know if I push to hard or what, but I have not had that problem yet and I have used them a lot since I received them. My daughter loves that it comes with lead refills and I love that there are extra erasers because they always seem to burn through the erasers quickly. My daughter has hidden the rest of the pack so that she can take them to school with her. Thanks again BIC for sending us these awesome mechanical pencils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids just started school this week and have already given their BIC® Velocity® mechanical pencils a thorough workout between drawing, worksheets and general note taking.
The girls are thrilled with the bright colors and LOVE that there are grips. They kept forgetting they had eraser caps, however, so those had to be removed (I like it myself--it keeps the eraser from getting all gritty in my purse). My youngest (9 y/o) likes that her lead doesn't break every time she tries to write or tear her paper--which was a major issue for her last year with another brand pencil and their 0.7 mm lead.
Overall, we are impressed with the quality of these pencils. They may be a little pricier, but sometimes you just have to spend a little extra for quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loved the comfort grip and the fact that they came with extra erasers. We seem to use or loose erasers long before the lead is gone. Extra lead included too. Well worth the money. #gotitfree #BICVelocity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are nice pencils to use. I gave some to the kids for school and I took some to work. The feedback is the same in both. Very smooth and the erasers work. Some do not for you get that nasty smear when trying to use. This is not the case with these. Very nice.#Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are some great mechanical pencils! They are so comfortable to hold and use, the lead is strong and they write great! All 4 of my kids wanted some for school so they each shot a package to start school with plus an extra pack to share for home use. I gave one each to the neighborhood kids to try plus some for work. Love that they came with extra lead and erasers- That is a huge bonus! The erasers have a plastic cover too, how cool is that? Definitely want more soon!

We love these pencils!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If there's one thing that seems to get every kid excited, it's a mechanical pencil for some reason! It's like the equivalent to when I get a new cleaning supply. What a sad sentence. They both loved the fun colors because mom always hears about it when the pencils are too boring! Colors get an A+ here! My kids are both pretty hard on lead, too, but these seem to hold up pretty well with their never-ending effort to actually carve the table as opposed to just writing on paper. A couple of leads were broken in the process of some pretty intense writing & drawing, but for the most part, they held up and did the job! The erasers were for sure better than the average mechanical pencil eraser. They're normally so cheap and flimsy that they just disintegrate or fall right out of the pencil. They wiped the lead clean off the paper, however they didn't do as well on colored paper. I'll give it a pass for that because normally children cut that stuff up and make crafts from it. Not my kids. Difficult people. We have a few of these unused as they're being reserved to bring along on the first day of school! Great pencils!
