[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these pencils!! I am a teacher who is always looking for a newly sharpened pencil at my desk or when I go to other classrooms. This pencil lets me always have a sharpened pencil. Plus it comes with extra lead AND extra erasers?! That has always been a draw back of a mechanical pencil, having to throw one away because you can't find the eraser to keep the lead in the pencil or to erase with. These are a much nicer mechanical pencil at a great price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how the pencils felt in my hand. Some feel very uncomfortable but I felt like the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils were different. It felt comfortable writing. I also used it for drawing. I felt that my pictures turned out better using the pencils. I also let some kids use them to draw with me. They really liked using them. They spent hours writing and drawing.

But I see no difference in these pencils than with any other mechanical pencils. The lead seems to be the same. The eraser works good for the most part, but you have to go over it a few times. And there is a cap on the eraser,

Thats what i hear from my kids they love using them they are made with strong leads that erase cleanly with no mess and there?s a soft grip for comfortable writing and a rectractable tip They are also perfect for standarized tests ha no more pencil sharpening during test time!

I have seen online people saying that some are breaking, but it must not be this set. Ours barely break. We are so happy to be apart of this bzzagent campaign, cause I don't have to buy too many pencils as of right now. They erase nice. Haven't had a problem with that. We like so much that they came with extra erasers and led.

She loves them and I have to say I agree with her. They feel very sturdy in your hand without being too heavy. Some of the mechanical pencils we've used have a very cheap feel to them. I much prefer a pencil that doesn't feel like it's going to snap in my hands. My daughter loves to write and does so every day. She always has a pencil in her hand. She said these have a nice feel to them and when we went school supply shopping these are the pencils she picked up for the school year.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since I was in high school I have loved using mechanical pencils. There was always a sharp point and I didn't have to go looking for a pencil sharpener. For me, the one thing I wanted to know before getting the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils was how readily available the lead refills would be. There is nothing worse than running out of lead and not being able to find the correct lead refill. Thankfully, refills are easily located. I had my son try it out first. And he loved them, especially the different colors (not the pink because it was too girly for him) and the cushion grip, as he tends to hold pencils and pens with a tight grip (me too). Our inventory of stubby pencils have finally decreased!
