[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I opened one today at school and had to take a double look to make sure I was using a pencil!!! These rock! Not only do they look like pens but they feel like pens in your hands. They aren't the cheap brands that I used to buy, they feel heavy in your hand like a pen would. They also wrote so much better than regular lead pencils. I was impressed by the quality!! My kids might keep using the regular cheap ones but I deserve the best! I'm a high school teacher...I put up with teenagers all day, I NEEDED these pencils! On a dreary Monday, they make me feel like a Friday!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mmm pencils! Nothing beats a good pencil. I love the satisfaction of a well sharpened pencil, but let's face it that doesn't happen often with wonky sharpeners. Enter BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils. With a pop of color, never dull lead, and a pen like quality these pencils are fantastic. They write smooth, erase well, and you can't beat the long lasting lead. Give the Velocity a whirl and be amazed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has had some assignments for her Advanced Practical English III Class that has required her to use pencils and notecards. She has always preferred mechanical pencils and since BIC seems to be the most popular brand, we have often used their pencils. I asked her what she thought about the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils and she said that they have a very smooth writing style. She really likes the color or the pencils and the grip. She is used to using a thinner BIC mechanical pencil, but she says that the Velocity is easier to manipulate. She does not like the erasure when comparing it to the other BIC mechanical pencil. She feels like it is too small. I think the quantity of pencils is appropriate for the package and I really like the erasure and lead refills that come with the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the way they feel, the way they write, and the eraser is so smooth and erases really good. My kids love mechanical pencils and they say by far this is the best pencil they have written with. I would really recommend these pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually have my kids practice school skills over the summer so I was really excited to be able to introduce them to these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils. We got off to a good start, my son thought they were comfortable to hold (he really liked the rubber grip) and it was easy to advance the lead. Unfortunately it was a really hard lead and when my son would press down on the page to write he would rip and tear the paper. This happened repeatedly, despite my encouraging him not to press so hard. These won't work for school work, he'd destroy all the papers! Sorry BIC, these don't work for my 10 year old son.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter and I both love the comfort grip on these pencils. My daughter's constantly writing while in school for 7 hrs and the amount of drawing that I do, after a while you get that lovely "dent" in the side of your finger.....The cushion grip on these make a world of difference; at the end of the day your fingers don't hurt. The 4 stars rather than 5 is minor; they erase easily as the description says, they just don't erase completely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They seem to be more strong to hold & grip. They're not as flimsy. The lead comes out better so it's more like writing with a pen than a pencil. When I have to erase though, the eraser seems just about the same. A bit small & Luke it's about to fall out. When putting the cap back on I feel like I'm pushing the lead out too. Overall though, it works real nice & I like how it writes so smooth.
