Bic velocity pencils

Trying out the new pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] She loves them! In her words "better than any mechanical pencil I've ever used." And she's the mechanical pencil queen. She only uses mechanical pencils so she was quite excited to receive them. She loved the vibrant colors. Personally, like that the colors in one pack can be divided among sons who like the vibrant primary colors and daughters who like the the secondary colors like pink and purple. But my daughter has claimed a whole pack for herself, which is also fine!

The Perfect Pencil!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received 2 packs of BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils as part of this great Bzz campaign. Each pack contained 5 pencils in different colors a small tube of refillable erasers (what!) and a small tube of refillable lead. I gave a pack to my daughter to keep for school in September because she was just so excited when she saw them. According to her, these are definitely cool enough for middle school... phew! She loves mechanical pencils... lol she really does and so last year once in a while I would bring home a mechanical pencil or two from work (shhhh) for her but they are just the plain yellow Papermate ones we have at the office. I have never actually bought mechanical pencils because I just didn't think they were good enough for the money. When we saw, these we couldn't wait to try them so I opened the other pack and gave her the blue and purple ones... her favorite colors...yay and I took pink, yellow and orange. Ok so yes I have a favorite too, orange but since I was going to review them, I had to look at more than just the cool colors although I will admit they are definitely much nicer to look at than the plain yellow ones. Compared to the Papermate mechanical pencils I had been using, these were definitely better. I love that they are refillable so already better than all those other ones that aren't. Not only can you refill the lead but you can replace the eraser too and both very easily which means that you don't waste the nice pencil even though you have used up the lead or eraser. The BIC pencils are thicker and have a cushioned grip that is very comfortable to hold. They write with a nice, smooth and dark, sharpness without having to press down extra hard and then worry that the lead is going to snap. Not what you would expect from a mechanical pencil but exactly what would expect from a regular pencil. They don't need sharpening which is nice since I have taken "my" colors to work and we don't actually have a pencil sharpener there. I also like that they erase well and cleanly which is important to me, especially at work and for the kids homework too. I hate seeing the previous mark still there and having to write over it. Isn't that the whole point of using a pencil.. to be able to completely erase your mistake? Not sure how much money these would be in the store but I know they got my daughter excited to use them and anything that will help make school/homework better gets a thumbs up from me. I would definitely recommend these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think BIC Velocity pencils are a very good choice when shopping for pencils. My kids and I really like the bright colors, they definitely stand out next to other brands! I rated them 4 out of 5 stars because I think the eraser could work a little better, but overall I really like them and will continue to use them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Big I have a hard time finding mechanical pencils that are smoothie and comfortable. I was skeptical at first but I have to admit I love these. The grip is comfortable. I usually get blisters on my ring finger from holding pencils. Not with this one. It writes so smooth. I made a mistake and had to use to eraser, you couldn't even tell I erased anything. It left not marks. I give the Big velocity mechanical pencil a A+. I advise anyone who uses mechanical pencils to try this. Love it.

BIC Velocity takes Mechanical Pencils to a new level!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think these new BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are amazing because my son gets really OCD about the normal pencils you sharpen to the point we had to have a parent conference about him using his pencil sharpener to often in class. He is also really picky about the way a pencil has to feel and he is in love with the shape and how smooth these pencils are. The lead writes so smoothly and doesn't even break easily. The pencil has and eraser cover as well as extra erasers in the container that carries your extra lead. This is amazing because normal pencil always end up loosing the eraser before the end of the pencils life. My son loves the way these look and can't wait to bring them to school.

No More Pencil Drama

I am a BzzAgent. reviewing Bic's Velocity mechanical pencil, which I received in exchange for a fair review.
The Velocity is a fun writing instrument that comes in 5 colors. The pencil leads are #2, so it will meet all our testing needs. In case someone forgets to study, however, it comes with extra erasers.
These pencils make class preparation easier because no one has to search for a sharpened pencil out off 50 chewed, wooden stubs. My girls picked out which colors they wanted. Each pencil comes with a comfy gripper already on it, so they should be able to write for hours.
I will definitely buy these pencils again.
