My go to pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BIC definitely knows how to make a great, durable product with the BIC Velocity #2 Mechanical pencils! First of all the packaging is inviting. With 5 bright colors (blue, yellow, orange, pink & purple), extra erasers (in a tube) and extra lead (in a tube) it catches your eye. These mechanical pencils have an attached eraser, eraser cap, plastic grip, metal tip (where lead appears), easy access to refill lead and the tip of the pencil unscrews if the lead gets stuck. This is the smoothest, darkest writing mechanical pencil. It erases cleanly (no smudges & doesn't leave any eraser particles behind). The pencil is extremely durable & comfortable to hold (not thin and cheap like other brands). The plastic finger grip is nice but I personally would prefer an even softer finger grip. One great feature is the metal (NOT PLASTIC) tip where the lead comes out! My 10 year old has gotten very frustrated with mechanical pencils because he complains the lead always breaks or it's uncomfortable to use. He LOVES these BIC Velocity mechanical pencils though! He hasn't broken lead and hasn't complained once about his hand cramping or hurting. Making a side-by-side comparison I notice that the BIC Velocity mechanical pencils are thicker, have a plastic finger grip and have a metal tip where the lead comes out. BIC Velocity mechanical pencils are the only brand for our household!
These pencils are built to last! I have dropped them countless times and they come away working perfectly. Other brands that I have used have cracked upon dropping or the plastic tip where the lead comes out has broken off. To add lead is super easy: remove the eraser cap, pull out the eraser, drop in the lead! Also the tip of the pencil just below the finger grip unscrews in case the lead gets stuck (though this hasn't happened to me). If I had to find a slight negative, I don't really understand the need for an eraser cap because it's clear & can get lost easily. Regardless, BIC Velocity mechanical pencils are a great product and the only pencils I'll be sending to school with my kids. I'll be spreading the word to friends and family going out to buy school supplies!

No more sharpener!

BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are great. They are smooth and don't require a sharpener. We aren't wasting school supplies anymore. That's important to me as a single mom. #BICVelocity #GOtItFree

Always Make Mistakes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we first received the Bic Velocity mechanical pencils in my kids weren't too excited. They finally used them and realized the packages come with extra erasers & they are thrilled. All the others I have purchased them in the past they had to smash a house top eraser on. The colors are fun and neon looking. My kids used them for awhile filling in their school papers & the led held up strong. Never once breaking off into small chips. As much as a pencil can be enjoyed my kids liked them.

Son only wants these!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son only wants these pencils! His favorite color is orange and loves the fact that when he runs out of lead he can refill it. It rights smooth and erase very well. The lead is strong because he rights hard and it holds up!

Bic Velocity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Bic Velocity Mechanical pencils free to try from BzzAgent. They come in a variety of very cool colors. They are soft to hold and write smooth. They are a great pencil. Also they come with #2 lead which is required on most test at school so they are perfect for back to school. These are great and they come with extra erasers and plenty of extra lead.

Love it soooo much

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pencils are great! The lead advances easily from the pencil. The lead writes smoothly does not tug or tear the paper. The lead is easy to replace in the pencil as well. The pencils write dark but erase easily. These will be great for me to use when I start nursing school this fall!! Makes writing with a pencil fun! I'm left handed and the writing didn't smear onto my hand either;)

My new favorite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are my new favorite go to pencil. They feel like a pen, so much sturdier than other mechanical pencils. I'm a bit obsessive about my regular pencil always being sharpened, but with these pencils, I can just click and get a perfectly sharp and ready pencil. I love that they come with refills of both the lead and the erasers. Erasers are a big deal for doing homework! I'll be buying lots of these for both home and my classroom. My kids and my students are going to love them...if I decide to share that is!

Pretty Cool Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the new Bic Velocity pencils. I like that fact that they write smoothly. It seems to have a thicker lead compared to other brands. I notice the darkness of the lead is a tad bit darker than other brands as well. I like that the pencils come in fun colors as well as with an extra package of lead. I also like the fact that it comes with grips on the pencil for your fingers.
