This booklift helped me to be in a more comfortable position for studying a textbook upright. The part on the back that holds up the booklift also folds flat for easy storage and portability.
Book stand is working out perfectly. Ordering was easy & it arrived quickly. Thank you Staples. I will be shopping at Staples again.

Broke Within an Hour

As a software developer I study books frequently. A book stand seemed like a good idea to help me read and type at the same time. Unfortunately this book stand broke less than an hour after I started using it. Amazingly poor quality. I'm not sure how it has good reviews.
I needed a book stand for hands-free reading while sitting at a table. Found fancier ones for much more money ($40 or more) but I didn't need "fancy." This device is perfect for a very reasonable cost. It has the added benefit of being foldable for traveling and perforated for putting into a binder should I ever need to do that.
This book holder is well designed on the whole. It is quite portable seems durable and is capable of holding large books well. However if the prongs which hold the book in place are pressed down with any significant pressure they will leave a black mark on the pages of the book. Thus when attempting to hold a large book in place there is a significant risk of leaving marks on each page you attempt to read.
