IN STORE ORDER:: ASSOCIATES WERE VERY HELPFUL.THE PRODUCT IS OKAY MAXIMUM ANGLE IS ABOUT 65 DEGREES. WOULD SUIT ME BETTER IF IT WENT TO ABOUT 80 DEGREES. SLIGHTLY OVERPRICED
I went into my Staples in La Mesa hoping to find something like this. I had also brought in paper to be shredded and was talking to the manager who was putting my pages into the proper container. She knew exactly what I was talking about. She said there was nowhere to put them on the shelves so she got the ladder and went up to the top row and presented the item to me. It seemed too lightweight and I doubted it would do much for my large history text book but would be perfect for the hard back normal sized textbook. She assured me it would work and I bought it without asking the price I was so relieved I forgot all about that little detail and I NEVER buy anything without asking the price!!! So why I wanted a holder for my textbooks was to prop the book up in front of me as I type on my keyboard like with my arms around the text my elbows seemed to naturally bend away from the center my hands in front of me on the keyboard but elbows bowed (if that makes sense like a diamond shaped square quadrilateral). What I have been doing is craning my neck to read then type with my arms lying on top of the text it has been hurting my neck and upper back something awful. I would then suffer for a long time afterwards my husband had to rub menthol stuff in and I had to rest with my head hanging off a pillow like I was some sort of contortionist. I did get the "I told you so" from my husband but it was worth it sleeping in the bed alone that night how was the couch honey? I lost the managers name now but I had called the store as soon as I got home and tested it besides writing a long note to Staples with her name. Anyway it was about $13 and plenty sturdy enough to support an over-sized college history text book.

It holds my computer text up so I don't get a stiff neck when I'm typing. It is adjustable so you can adjust the viewing angle. For [$] I'd expect it to be made of better quality plastic than it is. It's hard to find something like this in a store and Staples had it at my local store.
