Great for when you want to eat / cook and still have an easy glance at your items - or when you're on the computer and you don't want to strain your neck. However the small pieces that are supposed to hold up paper are flimsy and while they haven't broken yet there have been some close calls and I don't think they'll last too much longer.

I've had 2 neck surgeries and can't look down to read. This book holder is great for supporting books and magazines of different sizes and has page holders (very handy). It folds down flat and could even be put in a 3-ring binder for students. I think it's perfect!
