Pretty powerful for their compact size but not the strongest that I've ever seen. Will easily hold up 6 sheets of paper (it also depends on the amount of metal is in the surface). Easy to grip. Mine weren't as brightly colored as pictured. I use them to lift lids out of cans as well as post cards to my fridge.
