We usually buy 5 packs of these for each of our kids for school. They are what our school recommends because they have a gripped center for holding and are easily replaced when lost. They write smoothly and erase well. They are a great buy and my kids love the color choices!

The colors are attractive but the pencils come apart very easily - the tips were lost on several of them by the end of test taking.

I found that the lead slips down when I first start to use these. Also the erasers aren't good - need to use a separate Staples pink eraser (which is excellant!) to erase.
