I bought this a few days ago as I was looking forward to hanging up some stuff with the mini hooks, but when I tried to stick it to the wall, there was no adhesive! It wouldn’t even stay for a second,
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't waste your time or money

I bought these in the beginning of December thinking they compared to the mini white hooks. They absolutely do not. The mini white hooks I put up no problem at all, they're still holding my lights I out up 2 weeks prior to the clear ones I bought. I bought the 18/24 pack and by the time I hung up the 2nd clip, the first one fell. I then went through and prepped the spots I was going to put them. That didn't help either. In less then 2 weeks they have all fallen down and I learned my lesson not to buy the clear strips because they are NOT the same.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We do offer the Mini Hooks in the General Purpose and Clear and have some similarities and some differences. The adhesive formula is the same but due to the thinner profile of the Clear Strips, they will work best on flat smooth surface that are painted and do not recommend using on textured surfaces. Along with applying the clear strip to the surface first, then adding the hook. In addition to the rest of the strips. Not reusable

I like these, but 3M does not appear to offer refill backings. So these are not reusable. What a shame!

Old stock?

I bought these 3 days ago and used on a mirror behind fireplace. Followed exactly how to use and apply . Not only was the sticky part on the mirror not very sticky but after 4 hours abd barely touching the clear part that attaches came off in my hands. I even wore nitrile gloves to avoid any oil from skin. Old stock? I found a 5lb hook I bought 4 years ago with adhesive package, never used and stored in plastic bag in cool dark place. Same thing. Adhesive didn't work. And yes, service of mirror cleaned with alcohol and dry.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What a waste...

I bought these 6 years ago to hang some paper decorations on the wall. They worked back then, but now I'm trying to remove them and use the extras I had from the initial purchase and not only are the strips breaking off the wall when removing them and leaving yellow marks, the extra strips have dried out and are no longer sticky or usable. I have over a dozen left that are now useless. Adding an additional star since they did hang what we needed to hang when we first bought them.

Won't Stick to Wall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always liked Command Strips in general, but this particular product seems to have a different sticky pad than the others. The pad is too weak to stick to walls that have any texture on them. They fell off before I could ever hang anything on them. They might work on a perfectly smooth surface.

Not worth it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put up Christmas lights in my room about three weeks ago. I had a different hook for each light and they constantly fall off. I had been replacing them and waking up in the middle of the night after they had fallen off my wall. But it was only one at a time and so I just put more around each clip to hopefully be more secure. I went on a trip recently for about a week and when I left they were all up and holding. When I returned from my trip I came into my room to see no Christmas lights or clips on the wall, just on my floor. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied because of how much money I spent on all the boxes hoping it would work and thinking the errors were my fault when in reality they aren’t my fault. Please fix the clip so that it can stay up for more than three days. Until then I can sincerely say that I would not recommend this at all.

This product is rubbish, don’t waste your money. I could have waited 60 hours and it still wouldn’t have stuck. Now have to buy paint to repair the damage on my wall
