Not wide enough for letter sized documents or maga

Not wide enough for letter sized documents or magazines. When I viewed the measurements- it seemed like enough give to place our magazines flat into. However, even one 8.5x11 doc will have to curl on the ends to fit. So - it unfortunately did not work for our needs. Pretty pricey.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this item specifically for the width. The item read 8.58 inch in width. It fell short at least 0.08" I decided to keep it to avoid a return and use it for something else.

Basket is 7-7/8" Wide

I purchased the basket to file papers in. The description indicates it is 8.58 inches wide. Standard paper is 8.5 inches. However the basket is actually under 8 inches wide. A sheet of paper will not lay flat inside the basket.
