Good basic office file

We needed a smaller file unit but still with 2 drawers and made of good enough construction that it would take some daily work without damaging the works. This is very well made and finished inside and out so rust-staining from the bottom and not-quite finished corners and edges are not even a consideration. This fits well into the small space that we had and it already is full and taking the day to day abuse with no problems at all. I have already found two other places within the organization where this compact but versatile unit will work out well.
The lock/key have not been the easiest to use...but otherwise the cabinet is working fine. Solid construction.

Not quite as sturdy as I had expected

Not quite as sturdy as I had hoped but it serve well. The first cabinet that was ordered in store by a store manager was wrong we returned it no questions asked at the store and ordered a better cabinet. The first cabinet didn't have drawer rollers and guide it was very flimsy. The second was much better but I would have liked a bit more weight and strength. Overall we are satisfied.

Perfect File Cabinet

Ordered this because I needed to get organized - it's perfect for my needs
The drawers are 21" deep but when pulled all the way out almost 4.5" at the back of the drawers are still INSIDE the cabinet and thus virtually unusable -- 20 percent of the depth. What a waste!
To say I am disappointed is an understatement. There are quite a few file cabinets available for $60 that are of similar quality to this one. This file cabinet is only suitable for light use. Inside the bottom drawer you will find two pieces that you can use if you have only a few files in the drawer. You must insert them in holes on the rails (not sliding obviously. If you have a child or pet be aware that opening the top drawer may cause the cabinet to tip over. If I had to do it over again I would NOT buy this cabinet. It will be my last office purchase from Staples!
